The Chausie cat is bred from the Jungle Cat and has the "wild cat" look many people look for in cats. Presently registered only through TICA; state laws vary for hybrid cats.Basically, they are a long-legged, rectangular-bodied cat.

Chausie Cats have a modified wedge head with large ears with tufts on top. Their tail will be anywhere between 3/4 length (reaching only to the hocks) and full length. Their coat should be fully ticked (each hair strand has at least 3 colors). They have bracelets (black rings/bars on the top of their front legs), tabby facial markings, striped legs and a ringed tail with a black tip.

They are a shorthaired cat.
