Do you have one we could use?

We will list your kennel for free.

The Hovawart looks a little like a golden retriever. The dog can stand anywhere from 23 to 28 inches in height and weigh in at from 55 to 90 pounds. The fur on the chest, underside, legs and tail of the Hovawart are feathered. The back of the dog is straight and the body of the animal is a little bit longer than it is tall. The Hovawart can be seen in a sort of blonde coloration, black or black and tan.

The word "Hovawart" is a German word that translates into "guardian of one's home." In reality, the Hovawart is a fairly recent breed. It 1922, breeders in Germany decided to recreate a dog that looks like dogs that one would see in pictures (scenes) of the middle ages. To do this, they bred dogs such as Newfoundland's German Shepherds, Kuvaszoks and the occasional Leonbergers. The Hovawart became recognized officially in 1937.

They require a lot of exercise and need only occasional grooming. They weigh 55 to 90 lbs. and stand 23-28" at the shoulders
